Staying Healthy Through Cold & Flu Season

It's that time of year again! The time of year when we head to our local grocery/drug store to stock up on Kleenex, cough drops, Emergen-C, and all those other necessities to prevent and help fight illness. But, did you know that you could be missing out on something that is "essential" to preventing illness. So what is it you might be asking? It is a fantastic blend of essential oils made by doTERRA called On Guard. It is known as the "Protective Blend"and for its abilities to kill harmful bacteria, mold and viruses. This particular blend of oils is a great one to diffuse into the air and is also used to clean and purify household surfaces.

If you don't have a diffuser, the best way to use On Guard is topically by massaging it on the throat, stomach, and bottoms of the feet. When using on children it may be best to dilute with fractionated coconut oil as their skin can be more sensitive.

Cinnamon Bark: is a powerful purifier, powerful oxygenator, and helps enhance the activity of other oils. May have a stimulating and toning effect on the entire body especially on the circulatory system. It's antibacterial, antifungal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial.

Eucalyptus radiata: may have profound antiviral effect on the respiratory system. Has strong antibacterial, anticatarrhal, and antiseptic properties.

Rosemary: may help balance heart function, energize solar plexus, and reduce mental fatigue. May improve circulation and help stimulate nerves. It's antiseptic and anti-infectious.

Some Exciting News

Well, we have had a busy Fall season so far but we've got some pretty exciting things happening here at Aria Day Spa & Boutique. Those of you who have been into the spa know that we have a pretty small space. Since Aimee added the boutique last December, we have tried our very best to utilize every possible inch of space but there comes a time when not enough space is just that...not enough space. With that being said, I am excited to tell you all that we are MOVING!!! Not far at all though, just right across the parking lot. Now, by looking at the picture it may seem like our new location is smaller but just remember, looks can be deceiving. There is still quite a bit of work to be done before we can move in, but Aimee and her mom along with a couple of very able men have been working hard to make sure that the new building will have just the right spa look and feel. Not only will we be expanding the boutique but we've got an amazing manicurist that will now be working at our new location!!!
